Sauk County’s 18th annual “Get Ready…Get Set…Garden!” event will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 8:30 – 2:30 PM, at the West Square Building in Baraboo. This popular conference is sponsored by Sauk County UW Extension, Sauk County HCE (Home Community Education) and Sauk County Master Gardeners.
It features educational classes, an optional lunch, fresh baked goods, vendors, a plant sale, and the Master Gardeners popular silent auction. The proceeds go to Sauk County HCE scholarships that benefit local students.
The seminar offers three educational sessions that you can pick and choose from. You can register for one or stay for all three. There is a wide variety of classes and topics including how to grow hops, the benefits or lavender, seed saving and more. There are hands-on sessions for both adults and youth. Youth will have the chance to learn how to create their own greenhouses and about BUGS!!
The Sauk County Master Gardeners will also be hosting their annual Silent Auction. A large variety of garden gems will be available for bidding throughout the day. Tickets will be available at the UW-Extension office or through your local master gardener friends. Contact any Master Gardener, the UW Extension office or come to the Garden Seminar to buy a chance to win.
Pre-registration for the classes is required. The last date to register is March 10, 2017 on a first-come, first-serve basis. All are welcome to stop in and shop at the bake sale, vendors, plant sale, and silent auction.
