Coming Soon! Spring Green Internet Needs Survey

Access to high-speed broadband Internet is essential to the future success of our rural community. It creates economic growth, expands access to quality healthcare, enhances educational opportunities, and improves our quality of life. According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), high-speed broadband Internet is defined as a connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and 3 Mbps upload.

All residents in the Village and Town of Spring Green will receive a survey in the mail designed to gather information about the need for additional wired, high-speed broadband Internet service in the Spring Green area. Your response will help potential public and private partners interested in addressing high-speed broadband Internet needs in this area.

The Village and Town of Spring Green are partnering with Sauk County and the University of Wisconsin-Extension to offer the survey. According to Gene Hausner, President, Village of Spring Green, “Your participation in this effort is critical. Without your input, we do not have accurate information about the Spring Green area’s current access to or need for high-speed broadband Internet service”.

Please keep an eye out for the survey!  It should arrive in your mailbox shortly after Thanksgiving.

We would like the member of your household who is most familiar with your Internet situation, whether or not you have service, to take the 5 – 10 minutes needed to complete the survey.  Please consider your entire household as you fill out the survey. Your participation in this effort is critical. Without your input, we do not have accurate information about the Spring Green area’s current access to or need for high-speed broadband Internet service.

The Survey Research Center at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls is implementing the survey on our behalf. Your participation is voluntary but greatly appreciated. Responses are confidential, and your name will not be associated with your answers without your consent. Survey results will be available in summarized form only. The ID number on your survey is there so we don’t inconvenience you with reminders once you’ve completed your survey. Please do not write your name on the questionnaire or return envelope.

Please return the survey in the enclosed postage-paid envelope by December 20, 2018. Your response ensures your area is represented.
