The Sauk County Master Gardener Program

The 2010 – 2011 Master Gardener Program will begin August 30, 2010, and run for 13 weeks from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the West Square Building in Baraboo.

Class size is limited to the first 30 applicants, and applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Application deadline is July 31, 2010, unless the class is filled prior to that deadline.

What is the Master Gardener Program?
In the Master Gardener Program, you receive 36 – 50 hours of horticultural training with Cooperative Extension university specialists and faculty and local experts. The course fee includes instructional materials, which you keep…

Those applying for the 2010 Master Gardener Program need to complete the Application Form, the Volunteer Agreement Form, and the Criminal Background Check form below and mail in to the Sauk County UW Extension Office with your payment. (Click on the following links for more information.)

Prairie du Sac Community Garden

Great news!!  The Village of Prairie du Sac and the Sauk County University of Wisconsin – Extension office worked together in 2005 to successfully build a community garden near the cemetery on Broadway Street in Prairie du Sac. The cost to rent a garden plot is $20.00 and scholarships are available for those in financial need.  For more information contact (608) 355-3250 or you can fill out the application online (click on registration form below).
