Sauk County UW-Extension is hiring a 4-H Summer Assistant
Sauk County UW-Extension is looking for a summer assistant for 2017. The position is designed to assist the Sauk County 4-H Youth Development program during the busy summer months. The position provides valuable pre-professional experience for education and community-based careers. The assistant will increase their knowledge of youth development programs, community partnerships, and volunteer development.
The work involves assisting the design, promotion, and implementation of new/ or existing youth development programs that benefit youth in the Sauk County 4-H Program. The assistant will have work with community partners to increase the visibility and impact of the 4-H program. This is an entry-level position that requires the applicant to be able to multi-task, have a flexible schedule and be a self-starter.
The position duties include developing summer activities like “Discover Wisconsin” and Cloverbud Day Camp, spending a week at summer camp coordinating and facilitating programs, coordinating and managing Sauk County Fair judging days, livestock shows, and events, while meeting the wonderful folks in the Sauk County 4-H program. The Summer Assistant position is from mid-May through August (dates negotiable) and is paying $10.50/hour not to exceed 600 hours. There are no benefits available for this position.
